Rooted in Kerala's Essence

Prakriti Prana was born from a lifelong love of nature — and a quiet refusal to live any other way.
Our founder Mavra — now a business coach, brand strategist, and founder of Mavra Groups — grew up far from boardrooms, in her tharavad, an ancestral home nestled in a lush, unhurried village in Kerala, where the air carries the scent of earth after rain, where coconut groves lean into rivers, and where nature was never something outside the door but always within it. Growing up in that world, surrounded by elders who simply lived differently, she had the rare gift of watching and absorbing — her grandparents, the people around them, the way a whole community cared for itself through what the earth offered. They didn't call it organic. They didn't need to. It was just life.
What they ate, how they healed, how they tended to their skin, their hair, their home — all of it came from nature, without question. Those recipes, those quiet rhythms, stayed with her. Not as nostalgia, but as something she continued to learn from, develop, and carry forward.
The world changed. Even in villages, old ways slowly gave way to new ones. But she held on to what she had seen — and carried with her a deep wish to someday build something that gives back to nature, the way nature had always given to her.
When Covid brought everything to a standstill, those roots came back to the surface. She began making organic skin and hair care at home, from scratch, drawing from everything that had been passed down to her. A few people close to her tried it. Then a few more. No advertising — just one person telling another, honestly. That quiet trust is where Prakriti Prana began.
Prakriti — nature. Prana — life. Together, they hold everything we believe in. Organic, chemical-free, cruelty-free — not as a trend, but as a return to something real. We begin with skin and hair, but the vision has always been to bring what those elders lived into the modern world, in the way it deserves. Because an organic life isn't a category. It's a way of being.

A gentle, grounding pause that restores the life force within your daily rhythm.

Between endless back-to-back meetings and harsh office AC, my skin and hair were looking so tired and completely depleted. The Prakriti Prana Kumkumadi Bar and Hibiscus Shampoo completely changed things, bringing back a healthy, lit from within glow and giving my flat hair actual bounce and life. It honestly feels like a warm, grounding pause in my crazy daily routine, you, truly. Thank you, Prakriti Prana.

The Coffee Soap is easily the best thing I’ve bought this year. It has this proper, rough texture that actually scrubs off the grime and wakes you up instantly, instead of just smelling sweet. I’ve also been throwing the Kumkumadi Bath Salt into a hot shower after flights lately and it’s the only thing that unknots my shoulders. I'm on the road constantly for work, so having a routine that actually works and keeps me looking human is a massive win.

I honestly bought the Prakriti Prana's Shikakai Shampoo on a whim because my scalp was incredibly flaky and my hair felt like straw from the hard water here. I didn't expect much, but it lathers beautifully and my hair actually feels soft and clean without that weird, stripped feeling. While ordering, I also grabbed the Beetroot Lip Balm just to hit the free shipping minimum, and it completely stole the show. It gives this incredibly natural, just-bitten pink tint that actually stays on, and it completely cured my chapped lips overnight. My vanity is officially overridden by this brand now.
